1. Objectives

The test is conducted to test the candidate's level of understanding and ability to work in confined spaces.

2. Admission.

• Have attended the Authorised Entrant and Standby Person course conducted by NIOSH or other training provider recognized by DOSH
• Able to communicate orally or in writing in Malay or English language

3. Examination Format

The test is divided into two papers.

3.1 Paper 1
3.1.1 Objectives test

This examination consists of 15 objective questions, each question is given four options A, B, C and D.

Candidates are given 25 minutes to answer all questions and passing mark is 60%.

* For candidates who cannot write or read in Malay or English, the question will be read to the candidate

3.2 Paper 2

This exam includes two parts, part A (oral) and part B (practical test). Part A (oral test) consists of three questions (one compulsory question and two choice questions). Part B is a practical test in which candidates are given an assignment as the Authorised Entrant or Standby Person. Passing marks for paper 2 was 70%.

All questions are in Malay and English language

6. Repeat examinations.

Candidates can repeat the paper he/she failed 4 times only within 2 years.

7. Training Certification Card

Training Certification Card will be given to candidates who pass this examination.

8. Training Certification Card Renewal

Training Certificate Card Renewal must be made every two years. For this renewal, candidates are required to attend refresher courses conducted by NIOSH or other training provider recognized by DOSH and then sit for Paper 2 only set by NIOSH.
